Divison and Divisors

Definition 4.1:
For integers aa and bb, we say that aa divides bb, denoted aba \mid b, if there exists an integer cc such that b=acb = ac. In this case, aa is called a divisor of bb, and bb is called a multiple of aa. If a0a \neq 0 and a divisor cc exists, it is called the quotient when bb is divided by aa, and we write c=bac = \frac{b}{a} or c=b/ac = b/a. 4. We write aba \nmid b if aa does not divide bb.
